Welcome to the Daigneault Team blog. Here you will find the nightly homework assignments, along with important dates and test/quiz/project information! This blog is not in place of student agendas. Students should be writing their assignments down at the beginning of each class period. However please use this blog to verify/clarify assignments.

Extra Help Days: Teachers will be after on the following days for extra help. If a student cannot make that extra help session and would like to meet with the teacher, they should make arrangements with that teacher in advance.

Adv. Math: Have quiz signed. Write a paragraph explaining what you learned about the gizmo you did in class today. Include examples.

English: Study for Vocab Quiz tomorrow. Bring SSR book to class.

Science: 1. Please have a parent sign your observation and inference test by Friday, 10/1.
2. Due Thursday 9/30 problems 6& 7 in the white testable question handout. 3. Testable question is now on Tuesday 10/5. Extra help is available today, tomorrow, and Friday.

Math: 3-sided Angle sheet - THIS IS NOT A QUIZ. Read and highlight all directions AND complete three shapes you traced during class. Color in each shape and extend the sides with arrow heads.

Adv. Math: Pp. 62-65 #1, 2, 15, 16, 21

English: Exercises A, B, C, & D on pages 338-340 in the Elements of Writing book. Due tomorrow. Also, remember the Vocab quiz on Thursday.

Science: In the purple Three Variables packet on pages 3 & 4 do problems: C, D, and E. Due on Wednesday, 9/29. Due on or before Friday, 10/1 get your observation and inference test signed and returned to class.

Social Studies: Same as Monday night's homework. Get your test signed and complete the 7 vocabulary note-cards for pages 51-54. One side has the word and a picture that represents the word and the other side should have the definition and page number.

Math: Complete Problem 2.5 AND pp. 45-47, #21, 22, 24, 25, 26

Adv. Math: Problem 3.1. If you did not finish your quiz, you may come into my room tomorrow at 7 AM to finish.

English: Submit to Criterion your final copy of the Beautiful Place (4) essay. Bring in your original handwritten or printed draft tomorrow. Upcoming Vocab Unit 2 Quiz on Thursday.

Science: Same as Friday with nature journal. But if you didn't finish the lab today in class, then please calculate your average and answer the one conclusion question in your lab notebook.

Social Studies: Due Wednesday(9/29) - Get your Geography tests signed and complete vocab cards for Lesson 1 (pages 51-54). Students should have one notecard per word. They should put the word and a sketch of the word on one side, definition and page number on the other side of the notecard. (7 notecards in total).

Homework- Monday, 9/20

Math: Play two games of four-in-a-row with someone at home. Play one game on the 30 degree grid and one on the 45 degree grid. Keep track (write down) the moves you and your partner make.

Adv. Math: Have your quiz signed.

English: Download a Vocabulary Worksheet from the School Website. You can find the link to it on the Daigneault Team Blog or on Mr. Rockwood's website as a link from the Important Documents page. Once you have downloaded the worksheet then complete the top section only.

Science: 1. Study for your observation and inference assessment on 9/21. 2. Finish your "output" on observation and inference that you started today in class. 3. Lastly, bring your covered textbook and textbook sign off sheet to class on 9/21.

Social Studies: Study your study-guide for your Geography test on Wednesday, 9/22.

English: Complete the MCAS Practice - Introducing...Members of the Spider Family (worksheets). Due on Monday.

Science: 1. Study for your upcoming Observations and Inference Test on Tuesday, 9/17. 2. Cover your textbook (book sock, newspaper, brown paper bag, aluminum foil, a gift bag, etc.). Please do not write your name on the book sock material as the marker bleeds thru to the outside of the book causing book damage.

Social Studies: Students should complete their study-guide for their first social studies test on Geography. They were instructed to put each key topic on a note-card. They should have 8 note-cards for the Key Terms/People, and 9 note-cards for the Atlas Section. (7 continents, 4 oceans, physical map, political map, thematic map, cardinal and inter-cardinal directions, table of contents, index, alphanumeric grid location).

Social Studies: "On the Borderline" worksheet. Remember to not answer the actually question for # 6-10 - just write down the type of map you would use to find the answer.
