Welcome to the Daigneault Team blog. Here you will find the nightly homework assignments, along with important dates and test/quiz/project information! This blog is not in place of student agendas. Students should be writing their assignments down at the beginning of each class period. However please use this blog to verify/clarify assignments.

Extra Help Days: Teachers will be after on the following days for extra help. If a student cannot make that extra help session and would like to meet with the teacher, they should make arrangements with that teacher in advance.

B.)Earth’s Layers Foldable Complete parts 1 & 2. Use the given color code to color your foldable. Complete the information for the four boxes using your textbook. After you have colored cut out only the labels and put them neatly on your foldable. Do not cut our the layers. We will do this Monday in class and assemble.

C.)The final Earth Layers Foldable with your salmon colored fact sheet will due on the quiz date, Thursday 5/26. The quiz is on Chapter 1 section 1.

English: Read the three stories handed out in class today and then summarize each on with 5 to 8 sentences. Due Monday!

Science: Study for your chemistry test. This is not a “I don’t have science homework”. Ways you can study for your Chemistry Test:
Gather all your handouts into your science binder. Then re-read and take notes from your handouts.
If you used homework pass for the purple worksheet: “Section 2-4 Chemical and Physical Changes” you can do the handout.
Read and take notes for pages 62-63, and 68-69 in your science textbook.
Make study cards with color, pictures, for question 1-11 from your yellow study guide.
Create your own study guide
Create your own test questions
Organize test information into these groups: “I don’t know”, “Somewhat know”, “Know with confidence”. Study the information in your “I don’t know” group first.

After school review session will be on Tuesday 5/10 and Wednesday 5/11 starting at 2:45 pm- 3:30 pm.

If you were absent for any part of the Chemical Changes station lab we did on Thursday or Friday you will need to stay after school on Tuesday 5/10.

Math: Follow the instructions given in class: Make a table of all rectangles that have a perimeter of 30 m. Sketch on graph paper all rectangles that have a perimeter of 30 m. Make a graph of all rectangles that have a perimeter of 30 m.

Adv. Math: Word problem packet. Make two copies of a complex shape that has two different rectangles and a triangle with different base and height.

Science: Read through the Chilean Earthquake project handout with a parent. Write down any questions you have and bring them to class on Friday. You should work on your project plan using the timeline in the project packet.
  • This project is due on Thursday, 2/17.
  • In class work days will be Friday 2/11 and Monday, 2/14. Laptops will be available both days. Please plan how you will use your time.
  • Mrs. Malone will be available afterschool on Friday 2/11, Tuesday 2/15, and Wednesday, 2/16.
