Welcome to the Daigneault Team blog. Here you will find the nightly homework assignments, along with important dates and test/quiz/project information! This blog is not in place of student agendas. Students should be writing their assignments down at the beginning of each class period. However please use this blog to verify/clarify assignments.

Extra Help Days: Teachers will be after on the following days for extra help. If a student cannot make that extra help session and would like to meet with the teacher, they should make arrangements with that teacher in advance.

Homework, Thursday, 2/10

Math: Follow the instructions given in class: Make a table of all rectangles that have a perimeter of 30 m. Sketch on graph paper all rectangles that have a perimeter of 30 m. Make a graph of all rectangles that have a perimeter of 30 m.

Adv. Math: Word problem packet. Make two copies of a complex shape that has two different rectangles and a triangle with different base and height.

Science: Read through the Chilean Earthquake project handout with a parent. Write down any questions you have and bring them to class on Friday. You should work on your project plan using the timeline in the project packet.
  • This project is due on Thursday, 2/17.
  • In class work days will be Friday 2/11 and Monday, 2/14. Laptops will be available both days. Please plan how you will use your time.
  • Mrs. Malone will be available afterschool on Friday 2/11, Tuesday 2/15, and Wednesday, 2/16.

English: Complete both sides of the Complete Subjects and Predicates worksheet. Due tomorrow.

Homework, Tuesday, 1/8

Social Studies: Finish your Hieroglyphics Cartouche. Remember to color in the entire cartouche and cut it out.

Science: Study for your mixtures and solutions quiz on Thursday. Extra help will be available today and Weds. after school until 2:30 (in the library). Extra help and make up lab work will be Wednesday during X Block.

English: Complete the Unit XI Vocab worksheet. Bring in a poem written by an author from the anthology, but not from the anthology. Bring you Flashdrive to school.

Math: Finish your classwork and complete Skills: Area and Perimeter of Rectangles.

Adv. Math: Finish your classwork and complete the Painted Faces document. The Table and Graph document shows how students are required to find area and perimeter.

Social Studies: Vocab Note-cards for words on pages 141-147 (8 words). Please put the word and picture on one side, the definition and page number on the other side.

English: Unit XI Vocab Worksheet, Exercise I and II

Science: Yellow Sheet page 3 Discussion Questions #1-10 in complete sentences.

Math: Complete Problem 2.2 and pp 28-31

Adv. Math: pp. 47-51 #21-25, 33-40. You will need your book for questions 33 and 34.

NOTE to Parents: Report Card sign off sheets are due to homeroom teachers. Also, we are running low on tissues, hand sanitizer and clorax wipes. If you are able to donate any of these items, we would greatly appreciate it! Lastly, students might need to replenish their pens and pencils, highlighters, and notebook paper too! Thank you!

Social Studies: Study for your test tomorrow. You may want to have a parent quiz you and you may want to practice writing your open response answer again!

English: Write a "Winter" poem. Can be written in any style/format with the exception of an Acrostic. Due tomorrow.

ALL Math: Complete Rectangle Perimeter and Area Gizmo. Open Response question - make sure you answer on the open response template. Explain what you know and what you did. Skip a line between each part of the question.

Science: 1. Sci-news is due on Monday, 2/7. 2. A-Z Mixtures and Solutions worksheet is due tomorrow, 2/4. 3. Solution and Mixture Test next week!

Social Studies: Study for your test on Friday! 20-30 minutes each night. Create three piles: what I know, what I kind of know, and what I need to study more!

Science: 1.) Work on your Sci-news. You should have your article selected by now and have written the summary. Next is the reflection. 2.) Last call for all graded work is Thursday, 2/4. 3.) On the purple sheet, "Solutions A to Z" please do A-E for Malone, Daigneault, and Stymiest. Rockwood homeroom - do F-J. Due Thursday, 2/4

English: Write a rough draft of your Elder's biography. Must be carefully handwritten or typed. Due on Thursday.

All Math: Have your math test signed. If I have a written note on your test, have your parents sign above the written note.
