Welcome to the Daigneault Team blog. Here you will find the nightly homework assignments, along with important dates and test/quiz/project information! This blog is not in place of student agendas. Students should be writing their assignments down at the beginning of each class period. However please use this blog to verify/clarify assignments.

Extra Help Days: Teachers will be after on the following days for extra help. If a student cannot make that extra help session and would like to meet with the teacher, they should make arrangements with that teacher in advance.

SOCIAL STUIDES: Study for your test on Tuesday, May 3. If time permits, you may want to work on your research for your Social Studies Elder Tea. Finishing the research will be homework on Tuesday night.

ENGLISH: Continue to EDIT and REVISE Elder Tea components. Work on assembling the book according to the instructions handed out in class.

SCIENCE: Complete conclusion question #4. Look over your lab handout to make sure your spelling is great, complete sentences have been used in your conclusion, AND that you are using the testing data to support your ideas. Make sure to write it neatly and that your name is on your work. Please staple the flow chart sheet to your packet.

MATH: Complete problem 3.4 (Roller Derby) - pg 61.

ADV MATH: Complete problem 3.4 and 2-sided probability sheet (independent and dependent probability.)

SOCIAL STUDIES: Test on Tuesday, May 3rd. Complete the last two sections of your study-guide by tomorrow, 4/29 (Alexander the Great and Vocabulary).

SCIENCE: Complete conclusion question #4. Look over your lab handout to make sure your spelling is great, complete sentences have been used in your conclusion questions AND that you are using the testing data to support your ideas. All writing should be neat and put your name on your work. Please staple the flow chart sheet to your packet. Also, the Gizmo Powder Quiz must be done by Friday, 4/29.

ENGLISH: Elder Tea Biography due on Friday. It must have a Header and be Typed - double spaced.

MATH: Finish the white and pink go-fish and problem 3.2.

Social Studies: Complete the next two sections of your study-guide: Golden Age and Peloponnesian War questions.

Math: PP 45-49 #2, 3, 4, 6, 18, 21, 22. If you are in the play, you are required to work on #2, 3, 4, 6 for 20 minutes - no more than that!

Adv. Math: PP 45-53 #2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 20-26, 31, 32. If you are in the play, 20-minutes is the maximum time required for completing these assignments.

Science: Finish the Mystery Powder Lab and the conclusion questions.

English: Continue to work on your Elder's Biography that is due on Friday.

SOCIAL STUDIES: Complete the first two sections of your study-guide (Geography questions and Persian War Questions). You may complete them on note-cards, white lined paper, or on the computer - your choice!

MATH: Complete the ratio table for finding percent of numbers. Page 40 Complete Problem 3.1.

ADV MATH: Complete the ratio table for finding percent of numbers. Page 42 Complete Problem 3.2.

ENGLISH: Continue to work on your Elder's Biography. Typed final draft due on Friday.

SCIENCE: 1. Gizmo Mystery Powder Quiz and handout must be done by Friday, 4/29. 2. If you didn't finish 1-3 for the Mystery Powder Lab in class today then be sure to have this ready for the lab tomorrow. Remember no open toed shoes and long hair needs to be pulled back or in a braid for tomorrow and Thursday. If you toes are showing then you will have to do the Lab after school. 3. Mystery Powder Lab will be due on Friday, 4/29.

All Math: Complete the table you made in class today beginning with the year your elder was born. The first column will show the year your elder was your current age, and then continue in 5-year increments until 2011. The second column will show the costs of the first of the two related items. The third column will show the costs of the second item.

English: Complete Exercises I-III for Vocab Unit 15. ***Remember to bring your Elder Biography draft and flashdrive to school tomorrow.

Science: Finish the Mystery Powder Gismo. Don't forget to do the five questions online quiz. Homework passes can't be used.

Social Studies: Using the LIbrary Website -linked to our school website, identify at least two more topics for research for the Social Studies component of the Elder Tea Project.

Math and Adv. Math:

English: Final of Original Folklore story is due Friday 4/15. It must be typed and double spaced with a header at the top oc the left-hand side of the paper.

Science: Element Posters are due tomorrow. Be sure to read page 1 and the white grade rubric in the back of the packet. In your blue physical and chemical changes packet do page 19 "Physical and Chemical changes" and page 128 "Sharpen your skills."

Homework: Friday, 4/8

SOCIAL STUDIES: Type your rough draft to the Sparta vs. Athens Open Response question. Make sure your answer is typed, double-spaced and at least size 12 font. Please bold, underline, or highlight the Greek vocabulary words you have used.

ENGLISH: Continue to draft your original Folklore Story. Remember to include the 4 Features of Folklore. Vocab Unit 14 Quiz on Wednesday, April 13th.

MATH: Complete Problem 2.1. There will be a probability and data test on Thursday, April 14th.

ADV MATH: Complete Line Plot review sheet and Make note-cards for each of these probability terms: Chance, Probability, Equally Likely Events, Experimental Probability, Theoretical Probability, Favorable Outcomes, Probable, Possible, Random. Write the term on one side of the note-card. On the other side, give an accurate definition in your own words and include an example. There will be a probability and data test on Thursday, 4/14.

SCIENCE: A) Due Monday, 4/11- Both sides of the yellow "Properties sheet" B.) Chemistry Vocab Cards are due on the quiz day - Thursday, 4/14. C.) On Tuesday, after school will be make up demo day if you have missed any of the Chemo Demo last week. D.) Thursday will be the make up day for CaCl lab. E.) Tissues are needed!

Social Studies: Write a rough draft of the Sparta vs. Athens Open Response question: Which city-state will win the Peloponnesian War? Use your brainstorming sheet to help construct it. You should have 3 well supported reasons why one city-state wins and why another loses.

English: Read the Guatemalan folk story, The Disobedient Child. It begins on page 789 of your literature textbook. Be prepared to discuss it in class tomorrow.

Science: Chemistry vocabulary quiz is on Thursday, 4/14. Chemistry vocabulary cards are due on Thursday, 4/14 and will not be accepted late. Remember your vocabulary cards are 25 points of your quiz grade.
